A New Fad of Mine

I told you that I was going to try to keep this updated and I didn’t keep my word. :( It wasn’t that I didn’t want to, I was just quite busy and it was a feat just to be able to get online once last week! Another reason for my absence was this… <<
I started peicing this quilt the beginning of last week and by Friday I was quilting the border. It’s the first quilt I’ve ever made and that’s one of the reasons it’s small (31 ½" x 30 ½"). The pattern is called Tulip Basket and I wouldn’t recommend it for a first quilt :P.
I had a few challenges with sewing angles and squares together. Next time I’ll pick something a little more basic :).
When I started quilting, I was literally "all thumbs" but now I think I’m getting the hang of it (barely) ;). And it’s starting to get addicting!

My friend also is working on a quilt. We didn’t know that the other was making a quilt at the same time the other one was (talk about great minds thinking-er sewing- alike)!

So if you all are wondering where I am, I’m probably sitting on my bed, pricking my fingers, and making chicken tracks all over my quilt. Happy Seams! :D

that's my girl for you.

By the way, Becc@.... don't you think I did a good job following your orders? My stubborness won out in this "Hannah, update your Blog!" endeavor. And I did it just for you!

Nice quilt! If only I got that "wanting" business... I would like to do a quilt, but dear me, I never start it, and if I did I would probably end it a year and a half later... ;)
