As some of you may know, I have been taking English riding lessons at a christian ranch. For those of you who didn't know, I will give you a simplified version of my life of late. ;)
I have always had a dream to run a horse ranch and give lessons to kids--specifically at-risk children. I thought I wouldn't be able to even start till I was an adult, but God laid some things directly in my path that told me to get ready now! I already knew how to ride horse but the first thing I would need to know is how to give lessons to other people. So taking formal lessons myself would be the best way to go about it.
I found The Promised Land Ranch & Ministries over the Internet in July/August, but we were so busy at that time that I couldn't start taking lessons till after summer was over. So I impatiently waited... ;) 
Finally in September, we were able to go there, take a tour, and talk about what kind of lessons I would need. Our schedule was still pretty busy at the time so I had to wait till October to begin the lessons. Now I am halfway through the six-week lesson program and loving every minute of it! :D

...sorry this one is so blurry...:PMy instructor is always teaching me ways to parallel spiritual things with situations that happen around the horses. The other two girls I ride with are lots of fun and we all learn from each other as well. 
Last week, we all oohed and aahed over the coolest and most "ginormous" (as one of the girls said) Percheron horse the 'Mrs. D' had staying at her place.

Well, it is fun to see those facilities being used! I put some good hours into the original building and landscaping of her land and buildings there!

Yeah Britt, it's the highlight of my week! I can't wait till I can take the internship program there so I can spend more time with the horses and Mrs. D. :)
Wow, he is a beautiful horse! Oh my, his (skin?) looks like black silk. Wow.
