Letter From Jesus Christ
It has come to my attention that many of you are upset that folks are taking My name out of the season. Maybe you've forgotten that I wasn't actually born during this time of the year and that it was some of you're predecessors who decided to celebrate My birthday on what was actually a time of pagan festival. Although I do appreciate being remembered anytime.
How I personally feel about this celebration can probably be most easily understood by those of you who have been blessed with children of your own. I don't care what you call the day. If you want to celebrate My birth just, GET ALONG AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER. Now, having said that let Me go on.
If it bothers you that the town in which you live doesn't allow a scene depicting My birth, then just get rid of a couple of Santa's and snowmen and put in a small Nativity scene on your own front lawn. If all My followers did that there wouldn't be any need for such a scene on the town square because there would be many of them all around town.
Stop worrying about the fact that people are calling the tree a holiday tree, instead of a Christmas tree. It was I who made all trees. You can & may remember Me anytime you see any tree. Decorate a grape vine if you wish: I actually spoke of that one in a teaching explaining who I am in relation to you & what each of our tasks were. If you have forgotten that one, look up John 15: 1 - 8.
If you want to give Me a present in remembrance of My birth here is my wish list. Choose something from it.
1. Instead of writing protest letters objecting to the way My birthday is being celebrated, write letters of love and hope to soldiers away from home. They are terribly afraid and lonely this time of year. I know, they tell Me all the time.
2. Visit someone in a nursing home. You don't have to know them personally. They just need to know that someone cares about them.
3. Instead of writing George complaining about the wording on the cards his staff sent out this year, why don't you write and tell him that you'll be praying for him and his family this year. Then follow up. It will be nice hearing from you again.
4. Instead of giving your children a lot of gifts you can't afford and they don't need, spend time with them. Tell them the story of My birth, and why I came to live with you down here. Hold them in your arms and remind them that I love them.
5. Pick someone that has hurt you in the past and forgive him or her.
6. Did you know that someone in your town will attempt to take their own life this season because they feel so alone and hopeless? Since you don't know who that person is, try giving everyone you meet a warm smile it could make the difference. Also, you might consider supporting the local Hot-Line: they talk with people like that every day.
7. Instead of nit picking about what the retailer in your town calls the holiday, be patient with the people who work there. Give them a warm smile and a kind word. Even if they aren't allowed to wish you a "Merry Christmas" that doesn't keep you from wishing them one. Then stop shopping there on Sunday. If the store didn't make so much money on that day they'd close and let their employees spend the day at home with their families.
8. If you really want to make a difference, support a missionary, especially one who takes My love & Good News to those who have never heard My name. You may already know someone like that.
9. Here's a good one. There are individuals & whole families in your town who not only will have no "Christmas" tree, but neither will they have any presents to give or receive. If you don't know them (and I suspect you don't) buy some food & a few gifts & give them to the Marines, the Salvation Army or some other charity which believes in Me & they will make the delivery for you.
10. Finally if you want to make a statement about your belief in and loyalty to Me, then behave like a Christian. Don't do things in secret that you wouldn't do in My presence. Let people know by your actions that you are one of mine. P.S Don't forget; I am God and I can take care of Myself. Just love Me & do what I have told you to do. I'll take care of all the rest. Check out the list above & get to work; time is short. I'll help you, but the ball is now in your court. And do have a most blessed Christmas with all those whom you love and remember,
I LOVE YOU
JESUS

Snow
Cessna (the cat,) enjoyed the kerosene heater's warmth that day. She really isn't supposed to be in the house, but she manages to get in everyday.
Levi, didn't want a picture taken but he got one anyway. He tried to throw a snowball at me but I managed to escape it--somehow.
Just some other pictures I took of the snow that day.

Something I’ve Been Up To.
Now that the cow idea didn’t work, we needed some animal that would be a tax reducer (horses are not, for some reason). And since we had done pretty well with goats a few years ago, someone suggested that we get one or two. I was quite interested in that (I’ve wanted goats ever since we got rid of them ;)). But Mom and Dad didn’t want to invest in another animal and then find out it won't work out. So I asked if I bought the goats and they were totally my responsibility and Mom and Dad didn’t have to pay a cent for them, if they would let me do it, which they consented to.
I was quite excited and went to the library and got some books about goat keeping. Then I got to the hard part; figuring out how to get a pen, shelter, and milking place set up. When we got the miniature horses a year ago. We didn’t think we’d be getting back into goats so we tore out the big four goat stanchion, put the minis’ in the goat pen, and made it look like we’d never had a goat step foot on our soil.
But since I didn’t have near enough money to buy a goat, not to mention buying the feed and vaccines’, I asked Levi if he wanted to pitch in his money and we would both buy a goat. Of course he was all for it (as I figured he would be). So we worked out a deal with Mom and Dad that if we did a bunch of work around the house for a certain amount of money that would go to the "Goat Fund" (so they were paying for the goats, but it wasn’t without a little bit of labor).
I looked around on the Internet for goat ads in Wisconsin, and found a place that was selling Saanen/Alpine cross doelings for a very good price. Then I figured out how much the goat feed, vaccinations, and ect. would cost and added that to the price of the goats. Then I added the money that Levi and I had and found out it will cover the cost of everything with a bit left over! I was quite happy about that!
Now all I have to do is go get the goats and they are about 2 hours south of us so I’m not sure when we’ll be able to make a trip down there.
So if you’re wondering why there’s not much going on around this space of the web, it’s because there’s other things going on in my corner of the world. And if it bothers you I’ll try to update more often.

New Template AGAIN!
I wanted an original, personalized look to my blog, something that showed what I really like. So when Britt asked what I wanted for the theme I told her horses.
Horses have always been my very favorite animal ever since I can remember. I don't know what I'd do if there weren't any horses in the family's ownership.
And now even though I'm in Nebraska, having the best Auntie time with my niece and nephew, in the back of my head there's that lingering thought of "I wonder how the horses are doing".
But now all I have to do when I get horse-homesick, I just go to my blog and that feeling leaves.

Prayer Request
You can read about their story here.
I can relate to this, as my Gram'a Norma was diagnosed with brain cancer this spring.
She was healed only through prayers. And I know this lady can very well be too if it's God's will.
We Made It...
We hadn't been through that part in a long time and thoroughly enjoyed it.
So we're here and having a blast.

Like A River Glorious
Over all victorious in its bright increase;
Perfect. Yet it floweth fuller every day;
Perfect, yet it groweth deeper all the way.
Hidden in the hollow of His blessed hand,
Never foe can follow, never traitor stand.
Not a surge of worry, not a shade of care,
Not a blast of hurry touch the spirit there.
Traced upon our dial by the Sun of love.
We may trust Him fully all for us to do;
They who trust Him wholly find Him wholly true.
Finding, as He promised, perfect peace and rest.

Yikes! Spiders!!!!
"Kill it please, Hannah."
I looked at the blanket (going cross-eyed because of the closeness of the blue mass) and noticed a long-legged spider scrambling for cover to escape his death.
"Eeooww!" I said pushing the blanket away.
I don’t like insects and I don’t to kill insects, but a sister of mine hates the very thought of it! And she is forever coming to me and pleading me to be the executioner of some ill-fated bug. And of course I always try to get out of it.
"Come on kill it." she urged.
"You kill it, you were the one who found it."
"No Hannah, I can’t. PLEASE KILL IT!!! "
"I am NOT going to kill it!"
This would have gone on till ‘the cows came home’ if I hadn’t noticed a muddy brown spot on the girl’s skirt. I couldn’t make out if it was a stain or some object stuck to her dress so I bent closer, she looked too. And at the same moment we realized it was another spider!!!!
"GET IT OFF!! OH HANNAH, GET IT!!!!" her voice becoming shrill.
I laughed and got up to get a fly-swatter (I figured she needed some help). She didn’t move a muscle, except for her tongue.
"HURRY UP!! THIS IS SOOOOO CREEPY!"
I came back still chuckling and began to swat at the fuzzy brown insect. I swatted and swatted at it and it wouldn’t come off!
"Come off you crazy bug!" I said.
And then suddenly it came off---more like jumped off.
"WWWAAAAAAHHHHH!" she screamed her voice reaching very high crescendo and we both jumped back.
The spider made a run for the blanket that had gotten thrown on the floor sometime after we had discovered this second intruder. I still was laughing pretty hard and that was disabling my aiming skills, so the bug did make it to the blanket unhurt.
The girl ran back into her bedroom saying something about it being my fault about the blanket being full of spiders because I had left it on the clothesline too long, and so I should take care of it.
I took care of the blanket and the spider and went back to my book but had a hard time concentrating on it. And when Mom and Dad came home from a fishing trip I had to tell them, but I’m not sure if they understood totally, I was laughing so hard.
Whenever I tease Britt about her spider and bloody murder scream. She just rolls her eyes and walks off. But really she did scream louder than I’ve ever heard her scream. And over a little spider!!

Question
Psalms 62:5-8
He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved.
In God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.

What's Been Going on Lately
As I sit here typing this, I can hear; Canon in D playing on the computer, Mom playing the piano, and the lovely music of people talking out in the kitchen (where I probably should be right now). There are several smells wafting through out the house as well; probably the strongest scent is Vinegar but at this time of year I like the smell cuz it means canning and freezing and stocking up food for winter. Once in a while I smell that sweet smell of apples simmering on the stove, and if you went into the kitchen right now and stuck your nose over the big pan on the stove you would smell tomatoes, apples, cucumbers, sugar, hot pepper, garlic, cinnamon, ginger, and salt all blended together and getting boiled down to be made into Chutney.
Amigo (the prettiest horse we’ve got) somehow managed to get a long ugly gash across his ribs and stomach! It’s not that deep but it’ll leave a scar :(!
Yesterday and today, Levi has been working on making a little cart that Tinker will pull. It’s very cute but I don’t know if Tinker thinks it is =D! I know, I know, we need to make the shafts a little shorter ;P.
Well I better go get back to the kitchen and help Britt, but here’s another picture. Dad just bought an Olympus 6.0 MP Digital Camera and I’m having a lot of fun with it! I found this little black-eyed-susan and it happened to have a little tiny bee busily sipping nectar. Isn’t it cute!

Sweet
Now that I'm have other interests and don't do as much with them, they still go on without me. I’ve noticed that over the past few days, they’ve done more together than they have in a long time! But now they have Zack in their gang.
It’s been so cute to watch them having the time of their lives over they’re own small version of football, or playing farm with their little toy farm animals.
I’ve managed to get a few snapshots of them but usually they see me in time to make a run for cover. ;o)

Happenings
There are a couple gopher holes on the track so my horse won’t run fast till we get past the last barrel.
Shivohn and I getting ready to take off
Amigo did pretty well. He is the fastest of the bunch but hopefully not for long! ;oD
Levi and Amigo
We have been putting Maggie in a pen behind our garden so she can eat what little grass there is. Today I went out there to check on her and she wasn’t in there! I started calling for her but she wasn’t around. I was just going to go get Levi when I saw something on the road. There she was trotting along like she had every right in the world to be out and running away! She wasn’t turning in to the yard, but kept right on going, heading down the hill towards the highway! I ran as fast as I could to get in front of her before she started going down. We both were running pretty fast and almost crashed into each other but Maggie stopped right before she would have hit me. I got her turned around and into the yard all the while calling for someone to help get her put away, but everyone was in the house and couldn’t hear me! Finally Levi came out when the cow was in the middle of the yard and he helped get her put in a pen she couldn’t get out of. She must have gone through the fence because we forgot to turn it on after we had been working on it. Never a dull moment!
Uh, except for Maggie

I'm Still Around...
And here's a picture of Tabby and Archie. The way I got the dog to look at the camera was by saying "Archie, do you want some liver?" (I got him some liver treats and he LOVES them)

Riding in the Rain
Well right after we got on and were riding down the road it started raining. Since they were big drops we thought they wouldn’t last very long but it just kept raining more and more. So we turned around and headed home. We put the horses in a shed and waited for the rain to stop. Well it didn’t. It kept getting worse and worse (we were kind of glad it was raining cuz we’ve had a drought for a long time!). I saw this greenish-bluish cloud coming and thought “Wow, that thing is interesting!” then when it was almost over us it started hailing. The shed we were in had a metal roof so it was very loud! Amigo and our two-year-old filly (named Filly) both got scared and went out but I kept Shivohn inside even though she was scared to death of the noise.
Pretty soon Filly came running back in because of getting pounded by the hail and then Shivohn settled down a little more.
The storm wasn’t getting any better and so I decided to just unsaddle right there. Levi had Amigo unsaddled after he got scared and ran out into the rain and he came and helped keep Shivohn quiet.
So the moral of the story is: Do not ride when there is a thunderstorm coming!

Now this is one to think about!!
I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phones?
What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we turned back to go get it if we for got it?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
What if we used it as we traveled?
What if we used it in case of an emergency?
What if we upgraded it to get the latest version?
This is something to make you go...hmmm...where is my Bible?
Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don’t ever have to worry about our bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill!

Here’s Levi and Amigo. I can’t ride that horse cuz he trots so so bumpy! I nearly fall off every time I try to ride him! I prefer long bodied Quarter Horses better ;P.
They make a good pair don’t ya think? :)

Look At What Gabe Drove Up In Last Night!
It's actually his room-mate's but they swapped trucks for the night. We were all in the house when he came and didn't know he was here till he walked in the door. I could tell something was up cuz he had this funny smirk on his face! He goes "Hey come out and see what I brought!"
It's REALLY nice! I'm not big on cars and trucks but this thing is neat! The back seat folds down into a bed and the seats are nice and high and very comfortable. Oh, and it's a diesel (the boys would probably never forgive me if I didn't tell you that:)).
And I had to put this picture on. Tinker is our multi-task horse. He gives rides and pulls a sled during the winter, he's a stud (although he doesn't act mean or anything, he's the most dead headed mini-horse), and a saddle carrier =D

Tinker, Jumping, and Falling off.
Then when he got pretty good with that, we ( I came out just then and said they should make a real jump) found some old boards that were going to be burned and nailed them together, stood it up in the middle of the yard and had Tinker do more jumps. And since this jump was higher than the other jump in the horse pen, he knocked it over, and Tabby fell off.
Tinker's jumping the board on the ground. For some reason he jumped really high on that one.

Some Pictures
Levi and I both got saddles at an auction last Friday. They both have hardly been used and are really nice and comfortable.
Shivohn
I didn't know my Dad was taking pictures so that's why it looks like I'm hiding behind the horse.
We got our dining room floor done. We still have to do the hall and we want to get the kitchen done soon. But we have to figure out just how many squares we'll need so we can order them (Menards quit carrying that color so we have to special order them).

Happy Birthday!
Thursday, June 08, 2006
Busy... Busy...Busy...
I (with the help of Tabby and Levi) have been cleaning out a very messy shed and turning it into a more serviceable building than what it was.
Mom finally decided to get a dishwasher to ease the dishwashing load and while her and Dad were at Menards they got some tile for the dining room. Well right after we had pulled half of the carpet up we realized the wood underneath was partical board. And partical board and tile does not go together well, so we are trying to figure out what to do now. I hope we won't have to give up on the tile thing. That would be a bummer.
Hang in there. I'll be posting pictures as soon as I can.

They were here and now they're gone
We had so many fun times this week.
Like us girls sewing till late at night and getting freaked out by a big June bug! Having a water balloon fight which (when we ran out of balloons) then turned into a free-for-all water fight (with anything that could hold water). : ] Uncle "Gepe’s" birthday party. Going on an exhausting hilly four-mile bike ride. And just sitting around the dinner table talking was fun.
So as Brittney always say’s "(Sniff) As I reach for a tissue. Until next time."

Kittens Again
This last batch had five kittens but the VERY cutest one died. It was a tiger kitten and it was the only one who was a different color. As you can see the rest of them have the Otterson emblem on them. This last batch brings us to the total of 23 cats! WHOA!
As my brother-in-law would put it; we’ve had an excess of sufficiency; any more will be a superfluity! But it already has been a superfluity!
